Native West Nursery is a leading native plant nursery in California and growing quickly through our reputation for technical knowledge, quality, and customer satisfaction. We are adding talent to our team looking for a Production Assistant.

Successful applicant will be passionate about working with plants.  They will have strong understanding of the plant life cycle and factors that influence successful propagation.  They will be comfortable working on a computer, organized, timely and work well on a team.

Position requirements

Higher education degree in horticulture or related field or equivalent experience.

Confident in spreadsheets like Excel or Google Sheets

Valid and clean CA Driver’s License

Work in full sun, inclement weather

Some physical labor moving and maintaining plants

Ability to lift 50lbs

Organized, driven, self-starter

Work well with an established team

Familiar with plant botanical names

Familiar with southern California native plant communities

Available to work Saturday

Nice to have

Bilingual English/ Spanish

Bachelor’s degree in horticulture or related field

Nursery production experience

Hours

Full time around 40 hours per week.

Pay

$20- $25 per hour to start, depending on experience

Paid sick, vacation and holidays

Company contributed medical, dental and vision insurance

Discretionary annual profit sharing
